Olamide Adedeji is a famous Nigerian rapper, songwriter, and record label owner who is widely considered to be one of the most successful musicians in Africa.

Baddo has been instrumental in the launching of the careers of numerous Afrobeat singers across Nigeria and beyond. No doubt Olamide has several popular hit songs that he wrote and as g himself.

1.Teni – Injure Me

One of the remarkable tracks from Teni Wonderland’s album is “Injure Me” in which she went further to release the visual of the song because of how widely accepted it was.

What most people don’t know is that Olamide co-wrote the song alongside Moses Philip. It’s even on the song’s official Youtube data page.

2. Bottom by Akon

When Akon released his highly anticipated album titled “Akonda“, fans were shocked to hear him singing in both Yoruba and Pidgin language in his song titled “Boredom”. It was later revealed that Olamide was the genius behind the hit track.

The news was confirmed by Akon himself after a fan made a tweet saying “Olamide wrote Bottom for Akon. We don’t deserve this legend ❤❤❤❤❤❤to which Olamide later replied the tweet with a praying hand emoji 🙏.

3. Wale – My Love

According to BMI, the official registration point of music where most songs data is listed, Olamide is credited as one of the writers and composers of Wale’s hit song titled “My Love” which features the guest appearance of an American artiste, Dua Lipa alongside Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun better known as Wizkid.

That proves that the YBNL boss is extremely good and unique to his colleagues in the music industry.

4. Tiwa Savage – 49-99

One of the most incredible fun facts is that female Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage disclosed during an interview about her song titled “49-99”. The song was written by Olamide.

According to Tiwa Savage, most of the song was already completed before she even heard it. She later added herself to it and made some changes but for the most part, it was already a “ready” song from the super-talented Olamide.

During the interview, Tiwa Savage said;

“The track was produced by Pheelz, it was written by myself and Olamide who is an amazing artiste from Nigeria. He is an indigenous rapper. I’d say most of the record was already done before I got there”.

Tiwa Savage of course added to it and made it her own. She performed outstandingly on the track. Well, it is so interesting to know about some fun facts like these.
