Chief minister of a north Indian state, Bhagwant Mann, has been hospitalized few days after he drank water from a river to prove to the masses that it’s clean.

In the viral video, the minister was seen downing a cup of water he had fetched from the Kali Bein river in Punjab’s Sultanpur Lodhi.

After drinking the water to prove it’s cleanliness to the masses, the minister has reportedly fallen sick with severe stomach ache days after his audacious public display, at his home in Chandigarh city and had to be airlifted to Delhi to receive medical attention.
