GES Tells Schools Not To Demand Or Charge Covid19 Test Results From Students Before Admission

The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Prof. Kwasi Opoku Amankwa has stated that students are not required to take Covid19 taste before they are allowed to be admitted to the school.

He explained that any school that demands the covid19 test before admission is illegal hence should be aware.

According to him, no school is allowed to charge any fee in the name of conducting any covid19 test for students.

President Akufo Addo announced the resumption of schools at all levels on Sunday, December 3rd after schools were shut down on March 16th, 2020.

The Director of GES addressing a press conference in Accra on Monday emphasized that the government had made providing for Personal Protective Equipment for students including private schools too.

He explained that there would be no need for the covid19 test to be done and Ghana Health Services will lead everything.
