Nigerian Drug Lord and Ghanaian Counterpart Run Away From Prison In Ghana

Chukuda Onyabu, 27 and his Ghanaian counterpart Emmanuel Osei, 26 have escaped from custody in Akokobi Police cells near Adenta.

According to reports, the Nigerian drug kingpin and his aide were remanded on charges of possession of narcotic drugs and stealing respectively.

The two suspected created a hole with an iron rod used at the ventilation hole of the bathroom’s door by scraping a portion of the cell’s wall to free themselves as reported on January 1, 2021.


For the time being, operations have been launched for the rearrest of these suspects as their images trend in various police stations in and beyond Accra.
