The supermarket owned by the family of Antonela Rocuzzo, the wife of former Barcelona player Leo Messi, located in Rosario (east), was hit by several bullets in the early hours of Thursday morning, official sources confirmed to EFE, who reported that there was an explicit message for the Argentine star.
In addition to the gunshots, a message dedicated to the captain of the Argentine national team, voted Best Player of the Qatar 2022 World Cup and recently named The Best men’s player in the world, was found at the site.
“Messi we are waiting for you, [mayor of Rosario, Pablo] Javkin is also a narco, he is not going to take care of you,” read the message.
According to reports, 14 shots were fired at the front of the Rocuzzo family’s store, located in the western area of Rosario, the footballer’s hometown in the Argentine province of Santa Fe, shortly before 03.00 local time.
Most of the shots hit one of the three metal shutters and it is estimated that the attackers were riding a motorcycle.
