Nigerian professional footballer, Odion Ighalo Jude’s latest brace has put him ahead of Portugal’s national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, as they both battle goal points in Saudi Arabia.
Remember that Ighalo joined Al-Hilal FC of Saudi Arabia in January last year. The 33-year-old Nigerian striker has now scored 11 goals in 15 games ahead of Al Nassr’s Ronaldo, who joined the Riyadh-based club in December 2022.
So far, Ronaldo has scored eight goals as the top scorer race proceeds in the Saudi Arabia league.
Nigeria’s Ighalo pulled a stunt on Saturday after he scored a brace to help Al Hilal thump Al Taawon 4-0. The former Super Eagles player scored the opening goal in the 32nd minute and then made it 2-0 in the 45th minute.
However, the Brazilian duo of Anderson Conceicao Talisca and Carlos Alberto leads the way with 13 goals each.
