I think it’s safe to say Olamide Baddo has done it again.

For the first time since 2016 maybe, Olamide’s record label, YBNL Nation is responsible for some of the biggest hits in the country at the moment.

It started with Fireboy’s rise to stardom in 2019 with the “Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps” LP that quickly became a classic among listeners. And, since then, everything has been pretty good for YBNL.

In 2020, Olamide and Fireboy both released albums and they were both hits. 2021 came and both of them did their bits, Olamide ending up with one of the best hits of the year, “Rock” and Fireboy doing the same with “Peru.”

It’s definitely not a coincidence that the year ended with Olamide’s new artist, Asake, delivering one of the best debut hits we’ve had in a while. Asake followed the “Omo Ope” single up with his “Ololade Asake” EP and another song from the project is already on the charts.

This doesn’t just speak on Asake’s talent but also that Olamide’s outfit has the industry in a chokehold.

To cap it all, YBNL’s foremost producer, who has worked with Olamide for ten years, Pheelz also has one of the biggest songs at the moment, “Finesse” with Buju.

It’s not all a coincidence. I’m here to announce to y’all that the YBNL takeover has just begun and the industry is not ready!
