“When Angelique Kidjo beat Burna Boy, you all praised her” – Bobrisky addresses double standard over Wizkid’s Grammy loss
Popular lifestyle influencer, Bobrisky Okuneye, addresses the double standard of fans as regards the loss of Wizkid’s dual Grammy nominations.
The singer who was nominated for two categories at the 64th Grammy awards lost both and has since caused an outrage on social media.
According to Bobrisky, fans’ reaction to the award last year was different when Burna Boy lost his nomination to Angelique Kidjo.
“When Angelique Kidjo beat Burna Boy, you all praised her and referred to her as a legend. but today you all are using numbers to discredit her?” he wrote.
A fan wrote in response, “Mumu man … you saw the type of numbers Essence did? The certs globally n you are talking nonsense… Goan cut your preek.”
