He drowned while trying to save a suicidal woman from the water in a potato chip store in Blackpool.
He and his former girlfriend had broken up, but when she called him from the North Pier, he heard her say, “I don’t want to live anymore.”.
Despite not being able to swim, Alex rushed to the shore in an attempt to help her friend who was already in the water. He attempted to assist her despite being unable to swim.
Consequently, he was found face down in the water about 200m off Blackpool Tower shortly after 5 am on July 30, 2021.
