Gigi Fernández is a former professional tennis player from Puerto Rico. Fernández represented the United States in 17 major doubles championships and two Olympic gold medals, and he attained the world’s No. 1 position in doubles.

In 1991, she achieved a career-high singles rating of world No. 17. Fernández has been a tennis instructor and entrepreneur since resigning from the professional circuit in 1997 at the age of 33.

She also conducts Master Doubles with Gigi Clinics and Doubles Boot Camps around the United States to share her understanding of doubles with tennis fans. Fernández is Puerto Rico’s first inductee into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
