Manga artist Kenya Suzuki, born in 1981, was a rising star known for his Manga series Please Tell Me! Galko-chan. After a trial in 2022, he received a suspended sentence but also pledged to reform his behavior.
Before being apprehended, Kenya Suzuki had experienced the rise in popularity of his manga series titled “Please Tell Me! Galko-chan” within Japan.
The manga revolves around Galko, a high school girl, and her circle of friends. Initially introduced as a digital publication in 2014, it subsequently transitioned to print publication.
Over time, “Galko-chan” has been compiled into 5 volumes and maintains an ongoing serialization online. The success of the manga also led to the creation of a 12-episode anime adaptation in 2016.
